ABOUT THE PROGRAM
A panel representing each of the estate planning disciplines will discuss recent market volatility and the challenges and opportunities presented to estate and financial planning.

The program also will include briefings on Maryland legislation to reform the Orphans Court and affordable housing needs in Howard County.

Members are encouraged to bring prospective member guests; member-hosted guests may attend at no charge.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS 
Joe Carpenter, CFA® is a partner and serves as a portfolio manager within Brown Advisory’s private client group. He works with families and foundations to provide customized solutions to preserve and grow their investable assets in tandem with their investment objectives and constraints. Prior to joining the firm, Joe spent 5 years at Cambridge Associates as an analyst, initially focusing on private equity and real assets, and later expanding to the broad investment universe and serving endowments, foundations, pension funds and family offices alongside the investment consulting group.

Michael Joseck, Esq. is Counsel in the Estate Planning practice at Offit Kurman where he primarily concentrates his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and taxation. Mr. Joseck regularly advises families on navigating the estate and trust administration process. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Joseck gained valuable experience as a law clerk at the Delaware Department of Justice and the Newcastle County Register of Wills. He then transitioned to a trust company as an Associate managing high net worth client’ accounts. Mr. Joseck also worked as a consultant for an accountant services company, assisting in the preparation of personal, business, and fiduciary tax returns. He then spent over three years as a Chief Auditor with the Register of Wills for Howard County overseeing the Audit Department and Maryland’s Inheritance Tax.
